20 years focusing on recycling
What is plastic agglomerator?
Plastic agglomerator machines are a cost-efficient way of recycling thin walled polymers. It is easy to operate and saves labor.
Plastic agglomerator machines are used to physically transform loose plastic material into chips suitable to be fed to the hopper of an extruder.
Agglomerator is a cylinder with five to nine stationary and two rotating blades at the bottom which create friction and heat.
This process causes the material to reach the softening point. In this stage, the operator adds some water to create a kind of shock.
After water evaporates, the material comes out from the pneumatic operated discharge door as chips.
Agglomerators can be used as material drier and densifiers. Wanrooe manufactures agglomerators in various drum sizes.
The capacity is between 100kg/h-1000kg/h.
How does an agglomerator work?
The plastic agglomerator is powered by a three-phase asynchronous motor and driven by a triangular belt, which causes the dynamic knife on the fastened dynamic knife plate to form a rotating shear with the fixed knife fastened to the pot body. The thermoplastic film put into the pot body can be broken repeatedly, at the same time, due to the high-speed rotation of the rotating knife disc, so that the broken plastic pieces form a vortex state under the action of centrifugal force. The material is then slightly plasticized by the heat of friction between the material and the wall of the pot, and then cooled by the addition of water to make the material cold and agglomerated.
The plastic agglomerator is mainly used to pellet low bulk density film fragments and has the effect of dense drying. The particles can be easily transported after agglomeration.
Plastic agglomerator performance and structure
1. The body of the pot is made of high-quality stainless steel welded together, and the blades are made of special alloy tool steel.
2. The spindle through heat treatment and straightening after gold processing.
3. Agglomerator machine noise is low, high output, fixed knife using the removable blade, extremely convenient to use and maintain.
